BIO-FED is an expert in developing, compounding and marketing biodegradable and/or biobased plastics under the brand name M·VERA®. The company was founded in October 2014 as a branch of AKRO-PLASTIC GmbH (www.akro-plastic.com) and is therefore part of the Feddersen Group (www.kdfeddersen.com).

BIO-FED is a specialist in innovative and application-oriented biopolymer compounds. Depending on the requirement profile, these compounds are made entirely or partially from renewable raw materials, biodegradable in various environments or suitable for long-term use.

BIO-FED uses AKRO-PLASTIC production and cooperates closely with the other branch AF-COLOR (www.af-color.com) in the development and sale of biodegradable color, black and additive masterbatches with the brand name AF-eco®. AKRO-PLASTIC GmbH and AF-COLOR are based in Niederzissen, Rhineland-Palatinate. BIO-FED also operates its own laboratory for research and development there.
